2025 Clean Energy Implementation Plan

Skamania PUD is planning how we’ll transition to cleaner energy by preparing our 2026-2029 Clean Energy Implementation Plan (CEIP). Your input helps ensure everyone benefits, especially communities who have been most impacted.

The CEIP outlines the steps Skamania PUD will take to meet Washington State’s 100% clean electricity requirement by 2045. It is part of Washington’s Clean Energy Transportation Act (CETA) requirements, a law enacted in 2019 that sets statewide clean energy standards:

  • No coal resources by the end of 2025
  • Greenhouse gas neutral by 2030
  • 100% clean electricity by 2045

Skamania PUD is required by CETA to develop and submit a four-year CEIP to the Washington State Department of Commerce. This plan must identify the following:

  • Specific actions to demonstrate progress toward meeting the clean energy standards
  • Interim target for the percentage of retail load served using clean energy resources
  • Specific targets for energy efficiency, demand response, and renewable energy
  • Specific actions to support an equitable transition for all customers
