7-12.5 Payment

Supplement this section with the following:
“__ In. Bolted Hot Tap Connection”, per each.
The unit Contract price per each for “__ In. Bolted Hot Tap Connection” shall be full compensation for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, and equipment to install the bolted tapping sleeve, tapping valve, and all appurtenant items including mechanical joint restraints, fasteners, and thrust blocks where noted and necessary. Payment also includes exploratory pothole excavations at connection location, shoring, dewatering, and furnishing, placing and compacting bedding and backfill. Temporary and permanent trench restoration constructed outside the limits of the pipeline trench limits will be considered incidental to this bid item.
“6 In. Welded Hot Tap Connection”, per each.
The unit Contract price per each for “6 In. Welded Hot Tap Connection” shall be full compensation for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, and equipment to install the welded tapping sleeve, tapping valve, and all appurtenant items including mechanical joint restraints, fasteners, and thrust blocks where noted and necessary. Payment also includes exploratory pothole excavations at connection location, shoring, dewatering, and furnishing, placing and compacting bedding and backfill. Temporary and permanent trench restoration constructed outside the limits of the pipeline trench limits will be considered incidental to this bid item. Payment also includes wrapping the entire tapping sleeve and existing steel pipe where existing coating has been removed or damaged with wax tape.
