SKAMANIA PUD CELEBRATES PUBLIC POWER WEEK, OCT. 5-11

Skamania PUD is celebrating Public Power Week, Oct. 5-11, along with approximately 2,000 other community-powered, not-for-profit electric utilities that collectively provide electricity to 55 million Americans across 49 states and five U.S. territories.

Skamania PUD, like the other 2,000 municipally owned utilities across the nation, is working with one purpose: powering a strong community while placing a sharp focus on our customers. As we have the privilege of serving our friends and neighbors, we care deeply about aspects such as customer service, helping people save energy and money, and providing the most reliable service possible.

Skamania PUD invites community members to join us in celebrating Public Power Week with special events and educational content throughout the week.  The PUD will share daily posts on its Facebook page featuring fun facts and historical insights about public power, highlighting the benefits and impact of community-owned utilities.  In addition, the Utility will host a Free Hot Dog Drive-Thru Event. The community is invited to a complimentary hot dog drive-thru on Tuesday, October 7, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Skamania PUD headquarters, located at 1492 Wind River Highway in Carson, WA.  While supplies last, each family member will receive a free meal featuring an all-beef hot dog, chips, and a drink. Information about the PUD's paperless billing raffle and activity sheets for the kids will also be distributed during the event.

We look forward to connecting with our customers and expressing our gratitude for their continued support of public power.
