*Online Utility Exchange is used to verify the identity and perform a soft-hit credit check for all new customers, based on the SSN. The soft-hit credit check determines whether or not a deposit will be required for the account; if a deposit is required, the amount of the deposit is based on the highest two-month bill of the last two years at the location where service is being established.
There is a $25.00 set-up charge for each service, which is billed on the first bill.
There is no charge to disconnect service– a simple phone call is all that is necessary.
Landlord Connect Agreement
The Landlord Connect Agreement was created for the mutual benefit of landlords and the PUD. It has been designed to provide uninterrupted utility service to an address between tenants. The utility service will automatically be transferred from the tenant’s name into the landlord’s name at the time a tenant orders a disconnect. There is a one time setup fee, but thereafter the fee is waived to landlords with a landlord agreement and the account must be kept current.
