Underwood Substation Project

As part of the PUD’s commitment to providing safe‐reliable electric services to our customers, we are rebuilding the Underwood Substation near 300 Newell Road. Preliminary site preparation has begun in anticipation of construction commencing on July 1st. There will be increased traffic in this area during the five month construction schedule. Vehicles of the general contractor Wilson Construction, as well as Wilson’s subcontractors, will be present in the area, in addition to PUD personnel. Scheduled power outages will be necessary to install the new equipment and customers will be notified well in advance.
